Gold Bullion Treasure Hunt
Treasure hunters took up their metal detectors at the weekend to take part in the Tri-State Metal Detecting Club’s annual treasure hunt.
Almost £2,000 of gold bullion coins were up for grabs. They were buried around Veterans Park in Mt Vernon for lucky contestants to find. Metal detectors have been used to locate lost treasure for many years. As the price of gold continues to rise, finding the buried gold coins could be a wise investment.
Gold coins are very popular at present among investors and collectors alike. Gold coins, such as Gold Sovereigns, American Gold Eagle, Kangaroo Nuggets and the Canadian Maple Leaf coin have been fetching record prices at auctions around the world.
